Recently, the 14th China Intelligent Manufacturing Summit Forum and the 22nd Annual China Intelligent Manufacturing Year-End Awards Ceremony, hosted by e-works Digital Enterprise Network, was grandly held in Beijing. This prestigious event, which brought together industry elites, academic experts, and leading benchmark enterprises, witnessed Qrunning Cable winning three major awards for its outstanding practices and innovative achievements in the field of intelligent manufacturing.
As one of the first standardization organizations for integration of informatization and industrialization (Two-in-One Integration) recommended by China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), and one of the most influential consulting institutions in the field of intelligent manufacturing, e-works has hosted this national award selection for 22 consecutive years since 2003.
Qrunning was awarded “2024 China Best Practice in Intelligent Manufacturing”, highlighting the company’s cutting-edge technologies and innovative practices in the specialized cable manufacturing sector, offering a replicable model and valuable reference for the industry.
Additionally, Mr. Chen Yongzhi, General Manager of Qrunning, was named “2024 Outstanding CEO for Advancing Intelligent Manufacturing in China”, and Mr. Lin Ling, Head of Information Technology, was recognized as “2024 Excellent CIO in China’s Manufacturing Industry”. These accolades affirm the achievements of Qrunning’s management team in leveraging information technologies to effectively drive digital transformation.
As a proactive practitioner in the digital transformation of China’s cable industry, Qrunning has, in recent years, made substantial investments to advance its “Intelligent Reform and Digital Transformation” strategy. By establishing an industrial internet platform and a unified data system, the company has integrated multiple enterprise systems—including PLM, ERP, MES, WMS, SRM, and CRM. This integration has enabled end-to-end digital connectivity and comprehensive business control across workshop design, product and process design, production scheduling, smart manufacturing, lean management, quality traceability, and energy monitoring. Leveraging data management models, Qrunning has also implemented refined control and dynamic optimization processes.
The implementation of these digital initiatives has significantly improved production efficiency, reduced energy and resource waste, accelerated new product development, lowered operational costs, and helped control product defect rates. To date, Qrunning has built two digitalized workshops, and a third smart factory is currently under construction.
This series of awards once again affirms Qrunning’s intelligent manufacturing capabilities and validates its dual-engine strategy of “Lean + Intelligence” in driving high-quality development. It marks another significant step in the company’s leap from traditional manufacturing to smart manufacturing.
Looking ahead, Qrunning will continue to increase investment in intelligent manufacturing, actively share its experiences and achievements in smart manufacturing practices, and contribute to the accelerated transformation and upgrading of the cable industry. Guided by innovation and driven by smart manufacturing, Qrunning remains committed to shaping a smarter, more advanced future for the sector.
